“I never really knew what a Stylist was or did until I went on my first assisting assignment … Then my world changed.” This comes as something of an understatement for a stylist with an ability to generate intense, iconic, texture and joyous images of deep and striking contrast.
Born to Italian parents in Sydney, the passion and craft of clothes and imagery came to Scardino at an early age. Claiming a long love affair with British and Italian Vogue, her influences come from “natural sources and instinctual creative space. “ Inspirations also come from the runway but swiftly translates into something altogether unique.
Working boldly with colour, drama and sculptural form Scardino attributes her own style to : “Seeing the bigger picture combined with an extremely sharp eye for detail are natural instincts when it comes to styling and consulting.” Despite her innate ability to create a spectacle this stylist is more reserved: “I am not fussy, nor glamorous, but have a classic and modern take. I love wearing flats. Thus my imagery translates with a sense of ease and polish. I love my job, I am passionate about Australian creativity and my confidence comes from my experience.“
